Kitchen Remodeling
This 2,200 square foot house lacked updating and curb appeal. The new design revolved around removing the roof framing and replacing it with a higher pitched roof, allowing us to create cathedral ceilings wherever possible, creating additional volume. The professional kitchen features cherry cabinets, granite countertops, a commercial stove and a wine refrigerator. The master suite has cathedral ceilings; the bathroom features interesting use of travertine and inlaid soap stone.

Vice President and Principal Paul Kinney brings both his degree in Business Administration and over 30 years of hands on and management experience to each Race Point project. Paul discovered his passion for the business of construction early. While working in the field to pay for college he developed his skills for the building process - both as a business and as an opportunity to provide a quality product. During school he continued to hone his trade as an expert carpenter, and gained invaluable experience in virtually all subtrades - from structural concrete and framing through detailed finish carpentry. He received his California Contractors license in 1989 (B558570).

Architect Marsha Scully's architecturally accurate design of a beamed, gambrel roof and her attention to detail, allowed this wonderful Kitchen/family room addition to seamlessly blend in with its original architectural theme and image as the "Red Barn Farm House" - a San Fernando Valley landmark.
New Construction
This impressive 9,100 sf estate in the fl ats of Beverly Hills is an impeccable renovation of a 1930’s Italian Villa. The blending of restored original architecture and selected interior elements is combined with contemporary new construction and fully updated amenities. Together, the magnifi cent home refl ects today’s modern lifestyle with a seamless marriage of both new and old.
Demolition
The original scope of work called for only a partial demolition, remodel and expansion. However, as demo began it was discovered that the preexisting foundations were so sub-standard and under engineered, the owners instructed architect Greg Cahill and Race Point to replace the entire foundation system and to exceed current codes and engineering practices with an entirely new structure below – and a complete new home above, a 30% increase in the original scope of contract.
