        I found myself in darkness the other night.

        I found myself in darkness the other night. Darkness that was so complete that I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. The kind of darkness that seeps into ones very soul and threatens to viscerate the intestines from inside out. Then I just realized the lights had all burnt out over my bathroom sink. Upon closer inspection, each of the four bulbs in my vanity had met their maker. From reading the previous reviews here (thank you, ladies), I decided to try Light Bulbs Unlimited.



        I was going for a more vintage look, rather than the run-of-the-mill variety. I was helped immediately by one of the clerks, who found the perfect bulb for me - a pearly white orb that is uniquely shaped at the end to give it a more Edwardian look. I purchased four of these little gems and headed home. They work perfectly, filling my dressing room with enough brilliance to fill a lighthouse. And the unique shape of the bulb lends that extra touch that I was going for.



        A small lot is in back, or one can meter it on Ventura (Like I did). They have every type of bulb imaginable, and the service was excellent. Prices are reasonable for their wide selection of stock. Will definitely be using them for the majority of my lighting needs. Now that I'm no longer stranded in despairing Darkness, I wonder what that odd noise is coming from underneath the stairs...

        amazing selection and very helpful salespeople

        This is actually the first time I have ever written an online review, but on reading the review by adamcitysearch I couldn't believe we visited the same store.



        I visited the Sherman Oaks store about a year ago looking for a replacement bulb for my tensor lamp. (This is a type of lamp that was the latest and greatest about 40 years ago, regular stores no longer sell replacement bulbs for them.)



        What I didn't realize was that there were different varieties of tensor bulbs. The gentleman who waited on me, who looked like he could easily moonlight doing Santa Claus jobs come December, beard and all, was incredibly patient, friendly and helpful as I tried to decide which of the bulbs he showed me looked most like the one I had brilliantly left at home. I honestly felt guilty taking so much of his time for such a small purchase - a whopping $1.62 including tax. He treated me just as patiently and helpfully as if I had been deciding among items costing thousands. I did then also buy another item, but the two items together only came to $12.39.



        On getting home and trying the bulb I was very relieved to discover that I had miraculously picked the correct bulb, it fit and I am still using the lamp with it. :)



        I would DEFINITELY not only visit the store again if I need any non-standard lightbulbs, but I would highly recommend it.

        A friend told me about this store. I was surprised when I entered this lighting store, Wow what a huge selection of party decoration bulb, unusual bulbs and more. The help was very knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy. Would recommend this store to everyone!
