Hong's Family Daycare

Auntie Hong and the aunties are simply... AMAZING! Words alone can't begin to thank her and the aunties for all 21 months of love and care they have given our son and our family. While I was pregnant, I visited maybe 10 in-home daycares and my initial gut feeling said to take the spot here and it was the BEST choice we've made! Hong was so warm and welcoming from the beginning. When we visited, all the kids were climbing all over her and smiling/laughing the whole time. Place was bright and clean with lots of fun toys, there was an outdoor space for kids to run around, homemade meals & snacks were healthy, and hours and flexibility were awesome for 2 working parents. Communication was done via email before we started and they would always get back to me within a couple of hours. Even though my commute doubled, I had no regrets choosing Hong's. We were honestly so blessed to have found her.

Yes, kids play rough sometimes and you'll see some scratches once in a while. Kids get sick sometimes despite the fact that Hong and the aunties clean EVERYTHING (i really mean everything! my son watches them clean so much, he would start wiping things down at home). If anything is out of the norm, Hong will tell you during pick up (behavior changes, eating and napping habits, poop/pee). If your child gets sick, she will text you right away. You can also request to receive a daily log of your child's naps, diapers, meals, etc which was helpful when our son was younger. She would text photos and videos to parents throughout the day to put a smile on our faces =)

We feel like Hong, the aunties and her family have become a part of our family. Our son absolutely loves and adores her and the aunties. They have become his second/third mommies and will always be for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, we just left her care to attend to preschool, but we will always remember her kindness and we will miss her and the aunties terribly.

Hong and the teachers at Hong's Family Daycare are amazing with infants and toddlers. We had our daughter there since she was 4 months old and she always smiles when she sees Hong and sometimes cries when we pick her up because she doesn't want to leave. =)

Hong provides a daily report when and what the kids eat. You can always reach her via email, text, phone. And I love it when she text pictures of the kids. Makes me smile while I'm at work. =

I cannot speak more highly of Hong's Family Day care. My son started his care here around 18mos old and we marveled at the love and attention he received from day one. Hong has a natural warmth to her and she was like extended family to our son and our family. We could not feel more secure about his care which is important for working parents. The very fresh food each day (Hong shops each night for following day) is another example of her love and detail for the kids. The mandarin lessons and piano/music playing daily are extra bonuses which we felt made this family daycare stand out. She is also quite flexible with any requests which again as a working parent means the world.

My son has been going to Hong's Family daycare since December 2013. I can not ask for a better daycare for my son. Hong and Tina really care for the kids as if they were their own. She is also very attentive to my son's every need. When she realized that my son was refusing milk and not having enough calcium, she asked me what kind of dairy products he likes to eat. The next week, she provided the yogurt and string cheese. I thought that was very accommodating to my son because she is tailoring their meals according to their habits. That shows me she is really cares for every child and is not just providing generic meals to every child and not caring if they eat or not. Hong also provides stimulating activities and Mandarin lessons during the day. My son's vocabulary continues to increase and surprises me with phrases he has learned. My son is only 19 months and she has started potty training him and is able to tell me if he needs to go. That has been extremely helpful to me so I can just continue his training during the weekends. She is also very good about letting me know how he is during the day. Sometimes she send me some videos and pictures of them. My son also loves Hong and Tina and immediately goes to them when I drop him off and sometimes doesn't want to leave when i pick him up. Hong is also very flexible with pick up and drop off times if you let her know in advance. She always made me feel very comfortable leaving my son with her since the very beginning. I am confident that he is safe, well-taken care of, loved, and is stimulated with her activities everyday. I highly recommend Hong for childcare.

My son has been going to Hong's Family day care since she opened in November 2013. Hong and Tina really care for the kids and my son is extremely happy there, so much so, he cries sometimes when it's time to go home. My son adores Hong and Tina and also Hong's adult son and her high school son and daughter who sometimes play with the kids when they aren't working or out of school for a break. The facility is extremely clean and well taken care of. She serves very healthy food to my son all cooked there the day she serves it.



Hong is extremely flexible which has been great! When my boyfriend is on a summer break from teaching we reduced the amount of days for a while and Hong was very accommodating. She really works with you depending on your schedule and needs for your child.

My son Max has been attending daycare at Hong's since December 2013. He loves Auntie, and always has fun playing with the other kids. She is very good about letting me know how he has been each day, if anything potentially worrying has happened such as an unusual diaper or a fight with another child, or if he has had an exciting breakthrough with speaking or toilet training. Sometimes she emails me cute photos and videos of his exploits. I have confidence leaving him there each day because I know he is safe, loved, well cared-for, and busy with fun activities. Max has learned a few words of Mandarin, which is really cool. I would recommend Hong's Family Daycare to anyone looking for a great daycare for their infant or toddler.
