Taqueria Chapala Jalisco

My daughter and I attempted to eat dinner here a few nights ago. We were promptly greeted by our waiter and he appeared to be update and happy. We ordered fajitas because we had seen a steaming plate of fajitas's being served. We also ordered 3 enchaladas ala care and a side of refried beans. Service began to decline as we noticed our waiter was now stuck behind the register. We had to stop another waitress to give up refills on tea and chips. When the food finally came out, the waitress had 2 plates of fajitas in her hand, another plate that was steaming and ours which had no steam at all. When asked why they were not hot and steaming, she replied she had gotten busy. This is all she dropped off which left us waiting for silver ware, tortillas, the enchaladas and the refried beans (these items never came). After approx 7 more minutes of sitting and waiting, my daughter and I paid for the tea and left. We explained to the cashier at the register who was initially our waiter what had happened and he did apologize, but did not offer to take care of the tea or get the food prepared right. Two of the waitresses were off to the side laughing about the situation. We then left the restaurant and will not return!

Food was good but customer service is not a priority, will not be back.

I come here occasionally for breakfast and always get good service. Sometimes it gets very busy so things slow down but the food is terrific. It's very tasty and served hot. Really good tortillas too! I highly recommend this Taqueria.

My family has been going here for years. It has started to deteriorate in regards to the customer service. The food is outstanding however if you order take out they will not get your order correct. The new cashier is oblivious to the statement that the "customer is always right". He was insulting, ignorant, and unable to understand a simple order over the phone. If the majority of the people that patrionize the establishment are english speaking, it would make since to have someone that understands English take the order. After driving there twice and waiting an additional 20 mins for the correct plates to be added, he wanted to charge us for the guacamole that was on the original order (it was omitted the first time). We will not go back unless he is gone. This is a short lived position for him thank God. We will return after he is gone. We gave him back the order of guacamole and basically gave him instructions as to what he could do with it....

I always get the Carne Guisada taco and it's by far the best even better than my moms but don't tell her that :)

This place is always jamming. They have great breakfast tacos and a HUGE Jalisco style borrito that is ENORMOUS that you can fill to your liking with an array of different meat ,beans w/cheese as well as lettuce and tomato or just bean and cheese with a very mild sauce over top for just under $ 4.00. I usually order it with only beans and cheese and avocado, no salad. Let me tell you this place does NOT skimp. I get pretty much a whole avocado in that borrito. My husband usually gets either the chicken fajita or barbacoa with everything, and that thing is sooo freaking huge!!!! Very good for price and taste. Now don't let me fool you my kids (2 boys under age 12) love this place too. They love the breakfast tacos but they also serve pancakes. Yep, PANCAKES!!! 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon for under $ 4.00 as well, and those pancakes are E-NORM-OUS!!! You've just got to try for yourself.

this place has real authentic mexican food,I have been going there at least 3-4x's a wk. The service is kind of slow ,but the food makes up for it...try the pork chop taco with avocado
