Mike Davis is very knowledgeable. He has very reasonable rates. He is very personable. I highly recommend this guy!

Avoid this Guy!

Mike Davis was recommended by an acquaintance as a repairman to fix a few of our everyday household items. Besides giving off an arrogant first impression, he spent 25 min looking things over and then quoted us a price that was double the price of the next guy (which we brought in because Mike's price seemed high). When we let Mike know that we were going with a cheaper option, he said he would need to be compensated for quoting us a price, which we agreed to pay, but he then priced it high and threw in another charge called something like "miscellaneous tips/information" on the invoice and then when asked about it said he was charging for expedited service. He said that his prices were the cheapest in town so we should be greatful the price wasn't higher, that he was saving us money and if we wanted anything actually completed at that point, it would cost another chunk of change so his recommendation was that we just do it ourselves. What a slimy feeling in dealing with this guy! Our acquaintance felt bad for the recommendation and said he actually didn't know him very well. This will be the last time we ever do business with Mike Davis.

Honest, qualified and responsive are words that I would use to describe my experience with Valleywide Electronics and Mike Davis. First, Guitar Center referred me to Mike Davis. I decided to give Valleywide Electronics a try, based solely upon the high recommendation from Guitar Center in Salt Lake... and I AM GLAD I DID! I bought a Casio Keyboard off of KSL, and within a week of owning it, the keyboard completely stopped working. Not wanting to dump more money into a dire situation, I was grateful to have found him. He was extremely generous with his time, as he completely assessed my instrument at no charge to me. He willingly tried a few inexpensive solutions to see if he could get it working without replacing the hard drive (all of which he charged me nothing). He promised only to charge me if he could fix it, in which he was true to his word. The ultimate result was that the hard drive needed to be replaced... outweighing the value of the keyboard itself. He encouraged me not to throw money away. He happily didn't charge me anything, and insisted that he wanted to do what was best for me. Mike Davis truly has the interest of his customers in mind. Previously, I called a handful of technicians, none of which would even look at it without a $60 fee. I walked away not paying anything. He even wrote an assessment of the situation to help me negotiate with the person that sold me the keyboard. Mike Davis promptly responded to my phone calls. He willingly answered my questions. He was worked in a timely manner, taking only a week and a half to assess, wait for shipped parts, and trouble shoot the problem. I would recommend his shop to anyone.
