Hunan Restaurant

While their food is decent, their service is lacking. After placing a delivery order and waiting over an hour for our food, I called Hunans. The same man who took my order answered the phone, had no recollection of my call and asked if I was sure I even called them. After repeating my order, he informed me that they tried to deliver it to a completely incorrect address and when that wasn't successful they just voided my order and payment on my card. Never even bothered to call me. This is why we go to Oriental Restaurant. Wonderful service and outstanding food. Unfortunately, they were closed for the holiday today. We learned our lesson.

The best chinese in town!

I've eaten at Hunan for several years. In my opinion, it's the best place for Chinese food in St. Joe. I believe it's open Monday through Saturday, but not on Sunday. You can also order take-out.



Instead of serving it buffet-style, you order off a menu. Their lunch menu is an incredibly good deal. You get a soup, crab rangoon or egg roll, and an entree with white or fried rice. If you haven't been to Hunan yet, I definitely recommend going for lunch - you'll really get your money's worth.



They have several dishes on their menu; the shrimp with garlic sauce, sweet and sour shrimp, and General Tso's chicken are all really good. The "Happy Family" entree, which has shrimp, scallops and vegetables is also very good.



Overall, the food is great, the staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Hunan's was once a great place to take your family and friends to, but now it's food and service is the worst you will find. After 15 min of waiting a table of 4 revived 1 of it's 4 soups, 5 min later revived the rest. After 30 min we were told the ticket was misplaced but the order would be out soon. After 30 more min we inquired about the order and revived one of the 4. After 15 more min we asked were the others were and told it would be 15 more min and you could hear the kitchen yelling at the server telling her they can wait. After 20 min we requested them to box the order once it was compleat. We revived extra egg roles to make up for the lost time.

Upon returning home the meal was horiable and incorrect. The chicken wasn't even up to a happy meals standards and the food had an horiable taste and after taste.

You are better off buying a suppermarket takeout then going to Hunan's
