Sweet Melissa

First of all, Sweet Melissa's USED TO BE my restaurant of choice when eating out on the westside. My husband and I would always choose to go there for brunch, lunch and dinner when eating out. I'd also have lunch there with my mother regularly. We'd consider it a good experience if we ever got a "pleasant" server, even when the serivce was lacking and would still continue to frequent there because of the food. Unfortunately, we no longer give them our business.......myself, my husband, my family, etc. Last Mother's Day was the last straw. I attempted to make reservations for Mother's Day brunch WEEKS in advance and was told that it would be on a first come first serve basis only. When we arrived for brunch that day (early), we ended up having to wait an hour and a half because "we didn't have reservations." I explained that I had attempted to make reservations in advance and I was told that they wouldn't be taking reservations. We complained to the "manager" and were treated worse than the actual hostess. We ended up staying and waiting only because we didn't have reservations elsewhere and my mother has a bad hip and trouble getting around. After being seated at a booth up in the window (when my mother has a bad hip), we proceeded to order. The waitress was the WORST yet. She was extremely rude, seemed bothered to even wait on us, and was probably not even qualified to work the night shift at Denny's. She messed up the order, never checked back on us the entire time, and when she brought the check, spilled the container of coffee creamer on my husband and just ran away from the table. He didn't even receive an apology! It was an unbelievable experience and the last time we went there. There are plenty of other places to spend your money and get much better service. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
