I had a similar experience. First with Jessie, who determined for me that a commute from Poulsbo to Bainbridge would be too long. Then with other staff who, when I asked why in four months I'd never been contacted about a single position, said it was up to me to notify them if I saw a position I was interested in. When a position came through that did interest me, and for which I met all the required qualifications, not only was I was never contacted about it, but they never responded to my two emails asking if they'd put me up as a candidate.

West Sound Workforce has been extremely helpful in providing me with several temporary jobs throughout Kitsap County. Every position and opportunity I have had to work at... in various companies... has always been a very good match with my job skills and placement at these various companies has met with their expectations in turn. Upon completion of my assignment, I gain added confidence in my abilities as an employee. With a smile I leave saying I was glad I came and happy to work with such great people.

I applied on line for a position offered through West Sound Workforce. What I recieved in place of a "sorry" notice, was an email from the Poulsbo office manager, Jessie. Her mail said I had no business applying for this position. That I caused her personal distress by applying, that I was unqualified and ignorant. That no one of my abilites had the right to bother her, that I gave her reason to wonder why she was still in this business, that I made her sick. Her email was cruel, unprofessional and unkind. It is hard enough to be unemployed and to be desperate for work, then to have someone "put you in your place" and tell you how worthless you are. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and what I recieved was an email from the owner saying "oops, Jessie was just venting, she didn't mean to send this". STAY AWAY from this place, unless you want to feel defeated, worthless and belittled. If I could I would have given "NO STARS".
