The Salt Point Educational Center is a school that serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. The center works to improve the academic and social skills of students. It provides classes in reading, writing and math. The center operates the Academics, Behavior, and Community Program. It offers direct and indirect support services for the integration and use of assistive technology devices, materials and strategies to students, educational teams and families. The center provides an intensive learning environment program that serves children between the ages of 5 and 10. It maintains a cafeteria that offers breakfast and lunch options. The Salt Point Educational Center is a part of the Dutchess County Board of Cooperative Educational Services, which was organized in 1957.
