Dr. Cappel’s expertise as both a dermatologist and dermatopathologist inspired the creation of a clinic where clients receive the individualized attention their skin needs and deserves. The team at DERMAGNIFY embraces the use of imaging technology that magnifies skin — including medical photography, dermatoscopy, and microscopy — to increase the accuracy and efficacy of diagnoses and customized treatments. Dr. Cappel earned his Doctor of Medicine and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then went on to his Dermatology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. A staff member in the Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic for nine years, Dr. Cappel also served as the dermatology residency program director at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He’s given numerous presentations at dermatology and dermatopathology conferences worldwide and has authored 45 peer-reviewed medical journal publications.
