My husband and I both, are patients of Neil Niren MD practice. He has performed three hair transplants on my husband. Each of the procedures took approximately 9 hours and each time I was invited to stay with my husband during the procedure. Which means spending those 9 consecutive hours with Dr Niren as well. During all of those hours Neil Niren MD was kind, helpful, patient, informative and respectful. He has treated me for various cosmetic procedures and I've always been very pleased with each outcome. I have recommended Dr. Niren many times and will continue to do so. I live in Pittsburgh and in order to get to his practice, I pass many dermatology offices. If you insist on the best care for yourself, passing the other dermatology offices makes sense. I intend to continue my dermatological care with Neil Niren's practice.

After having chronic plantar warts surgically removed and then reappear, I went to see Dr. Niren. He used a treatment involving squaric-acid-diethylester (SADE) to cause a "poison ivy-like" reaction on my skin in the location of the warts to cause my immune system to fight off the reaction and the warts. It took a few treatments over the course of a little less than a year, but I'm happy to say the warts are gone. I wish I had known about this before trying to have the warts surgically removed, which was an incredibly painful and risky process.

I love the many facets that Dr. Niren covers. I have gone to him for annual check ups for moles, beauty marks, etc. ensuring that nothing remotely looks like skin cancer. Dr. Niren is extremely thorough and I feel so confident that I am in good hands. He may see something that isn't quite cancerous but will ask me to come back in 6 months to verify that no growth has taken place. That impresses me! I have gone to see Dr. Niren for botox, retin A as well dermabrasion and love the way I look afterwards!

I and my family have been patients for years, and have the greatest respect for Dr. Niren's knowledge and treatment of various skin conditions. He is very thorough and has more knowledge than any of the other Dermatologists in the area that we have tried previously.

Several years ago, I lost all fingernails on right hand. Having no luck with a well-known university's dermatology department, I saw Dr. Niren. Six months later, my nails grew back and have been fine ever since. Two months ago, my 26 year old son with special needs visited Dr. Niren with a rash that his PCP was unable to cure. Dr. Niren determined it was ringworm, prescribed the proper medication, and the rash disappeared. He is currently treating my elderly father-in-law, as well. Dr. Niren is not "super doc", but he a fine dermatologist who knows his stuff. Outside the office, he volunteers his time working with an organization who provides equestrian opportunities for children with special needs. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Niren to anyone.

Informative, quick and painless. Most doctors will take 2-3 hours of your time between the travel to and from, the forms, the waiting, and the 5 minutes you see the doctor. Not with Dr. Niren. Paperwork was a breeze, saw the assistant in a matter of minutes, saw the doctor in just a few moments later. He answered all and any questions I had, with depth.
