Crowley Roll-Off Service

Had a new roof put on and the contractor used a Crowley dumpster, which was placed directly in front of my garage and stairs leading up to my front porch. Making it difficult to get in and out. The roof was finished on a Monday and was told that the dumpster would be picked up the following day. No one came. Called Wednesday and was told that it would be picked up 'by the next day.' It was not. Called that day and was told that they couldn't pick up the dumpster 'due to the rain' and that it will be picked up 'tomorrow.'

I called this company and they said they could have a dumpster delivered the next day for me,mid afternoon. The dumpster never arrived and when I called back no one answered and the voice mail box was full. Will not be calling them again. I think they need to hire more help.

I called the company to request the dumpster who told me they would have it delivered in 2 days. On the day the dumpster was delivered we were told it would be at the house sometime in the morning. Well by 12:30 in the afternoon it was still not delivered. I called the company who said they were picking up all their full dumpsters first and would then be delivering ours. Okay, that makes sense I guess. So the dumpster was delivered at 2pm. Crowley does charge a price for each day the dumpster remains with the customer. My husband and I had the dumpster filled that same night so I told the company the day we had it delivered that we would want the dumpster picked up the next morning. I was scheduled to have about 20 people over to my house the night I needed the dumpster picked up. I again called the company the next day and told them they could pick up the dumpster. I was told that someone would be by in the morning. Well the morning came and went and the dumpster was still in my driveway. I called again to get an approximate time frame (I was also trying to get some gravel down my driveway before everyone came over). I was told before 2pm they would pick the dumpster up. Well 3:30pm came around and I started to get anxious. I called the company again and very politely asked when they thought they would be picking up the dumpster. The man on the phone was very rude and said, "What's your emergency!" Well I told him about the people I had coming over and how I had been given several different times for pick up, none of which I should have had to do because I shouldn't have to justify myself to this company. I was the customer after all!! When the man arrived at almost 5PM I asked him (very politely, too) why he was so rude on the phone to me since I was never rude to him. I was just asking for a pick up time and I wasn't demanding they come pick the dumpster up that minute. The man gave me a half apology in a rude way telling me that his phone rings off the hook, I called too many times, when they give a time they have a two hour window (I don't know how he thinks almost 5pm is within 2 hours of 2pm), they are very busy, etc. He just refused to stop being rude. I told him that his phone would ring less if he keeps treating his customers so poorly so if that's what he wants then he should keep it up.



Overall - very poor customer service and I would never deal with a company like that again.
