The Pigeon Forge Police Department, located in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., is a law enforcement agency that employs a staff of more than 65 full-time sworn officers, civilians and community volunteers. It maintains a patrol division that responds to calls for service, conducts initial and follow-up investigations, investigates traffic accidents, and controls traffic and crowds at crime scenes. The division also reports on various observed traffic hazards and public safety issues. The Pigeon Forge Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. The department also maintains bicycle patrol, tactical, investigation, crime prevention, support services and traffic enforcement divisions.
