Stormy's Spirits & Supper

I went here planning on having a wonderful dinner with my family and to celebrate my father’s birthday, instead I was extremely disappointed, embarrassed and will not return. After arriving at about 6:00 PM on a Saturday night I was surprised to see that we were one of only a few customers. Having gone here before, I have always known that the establishment was busy on weekend nights. Being that it was a cool winter night, I thought my family would have been seated next the blazing fire place where the other few customers where located, I was wrong. I can only assume that my family was seated in a cold unheated portion of the establishment because my 14 month old son was with me and they felt that he would bother the other customers. The waitress even pointed out upon sitting us at your table how cold it was in this part of the restaurant. To make things worse half-way through our meal (that was not cooked as ordered (rare)) an AC/Heating vent located above our table started blowing cold air directly onto your table. I had to sit there and watch my wife and step mom start to shiver from the cold.



If things would have gotten better from here I would not be writing this review. The service from your waitress was horrible. It was so bad that my father, who was visiting from the East Coast, would not let me leave a tip. He insisted on writing a note for the waitress to read and leaving only a three dollar tip to prove his point (The total bill was over $140). My father is not a cheep person, he is actually quite generous when it comes to tipping. His average is between 20% to 30% of the bill. Like most older Americans, my dad has a simple belief “You work for your money”. Being that there were only one or two other customers in the restaurant, I can’t image that the waitresses excuse would be that she was extremely busy serving other customers.



As far as the meal goes, it was “Good", but way over priced. The average entree was between $30 to $40 a plate. For this price I expect a lot more and great service. My advise, save your money and go to the House of Prime Rib or Ruth's Chris Steak House. Even Cattlemens would be better.
