Community Action Program East Central Oregon, also known as CAPECO, is based in Pendleton, Ore. It is a community organization composed of various components, including workforce development senior citizens services, enterprises, food sharing programs, and community services and weatherization. The organization s senior citizens service includes an area agency on aging, which provides a variety of facilities to senior citizens in the city. Its services and facilities include operation, staffing and funding of meal sites, group meals, cultural activities and events, and home care services through homemakers and caregivers. Additionally, the organization manages programs, such as retired senior volunteer program. It also offers respite care services, legal assistance and case management, health screenings and wellness education programs.
