Incorporated in 1887, the YMCA of Paterson is a nonprofit organization that administers a range of youth, preschool, after-school and sports programs. The organization provides technology education services and operates a center equipped with a digital camera, laser printer, educational software and computers. The YMCA of Paterson also maintains a fitness center that features treadmills, recumbent cycles, stair climbers, fitness machines and free weights. It administers the LEAP program, which includes leadership training for children. In addition, the YMCA of Paterson provides massage therapy, nutritional consultation and personal training services. The organization s Aging Out Youth Program includes employment, money management and housing assistance.
