Angel View Thrift Mart

The people here have no clue regarding customer service. People donate their items in good faith that they will be handled and sold in a fashion that exemplifies their good intentions. I have donated on several occasions to their great cause. I have been shopping in their stores for many years and spend hundreds yearly in all their stores.



Recently while shopping in this location I was treated like a criminal, embarrassed, and angered. I found two identical items priced at two different prices. I took both items to the register and asked if they would sell both items at the lower price. The sales clerk took both items to whom I assume was the manager. This was Sunday the 4th of August. he proceeded to remove the lower priced sticker, ( it was priced twice! there were two identical prices.) The clerk returned to say that "someone" switched the prices!



Really! If "someone had switched the prices, why didn't they purchase the item? Now I could have lived with purchasing the one item at the lower price, but now they were not allowing me to purchase at the marked price. Earlier I witnessed another customer inquiring about an item with two different prices. They told her she would have to pay the higher price.



Now I am no stranger to retail, and I know any retail store would honor the lower price. Now before all you high and mighty types start cutting me down, I understand its for a charitable cause. its the principle. That's why I shop Angel View first before the big guys. To the manager and associates I say this to you. Shame on you. people entrust their items to you and your staff to price fairly. And now these items may not sell till they reduced by half. You could have had the full price. Now your donated item will sit when it could have sold and the money used for the Children's Fund.



You have lost a good and loyal customer. Today I shopped at Goodwill. There I have always been treated with respect!

Always find great items @ Angel View! They've rearranged the entire store and it looks really awesome. I did notice they have also raised the prices on everything, but I don't mind paying because it is for a good cause. *You are helping disabled young people with every purchase* Everyone on the staff is always friendly, happy, and helpful. Truth be told, I stop by when I'm having a bad day and always leave feeling better. =)
