I had the complete detail service on my car. They scratched the plastic window on the dashboard. The manager tried to fix it but could not. They took my complaint and said that the owner would get back to me. He did not. After many attempts to get the owner to call back, I found the owner's phone number and called him directly. He denied responsibility saying it was impossible for them to scratch the window. He said it was probable that I did not notice that the scratch was already there. What a load of BS! Be aware of this business. There have been other complaints. It is never their fault. They don't make mistakes.

AVOID unless you don't care about your car.

Lake CROOK Auto Wash is rude, ...

Lake CROOK Auto Wash is rude, condescending, and argumentative.

My husband bought me a gift card to Lake Cook Auto Wash for my birthday. I was so excited use the gift, and I made an appointment right away for the $156.00 detail.

I dropped my car off the night before my appointment, and the next morning, Vick called to tell me that this detail package was a waste of my money, that his guys would not do quality work, and that he was sure that the carpets would not be cleaned properly. However, if I was willing to spend an extra one hundred dollars (with the promise to tip his guys very well), he might consider actually washing the car. After arguing, begging, and pleading with Vick on the phone for 20 minutes to complete the $156 detail, I had had enough. It was then that I decided that I would cancel my appointment, and I went to pick up my car. When I arrived to pick up my car, Vick demanded that I pay him for services that were NOT rendered. At that point, I asked him to just complete the detail - I apparently already owed him a decent amount of money - so why not? When I picked up my car, the outside hadn't even been washed, but at that point, I was sick of arguing.

The best part - the man at the counter rolled his eyes when I told him that I wasn't planning on tipping.

Vick is liar, a scammer, and a con-artist.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LAKE CROOK AUTO WASH.

I had a Groupon for an interio...

I had a Groupon for an interior and exterior car wash for $35. It said it was worth $72 normally so I thought I was getting a good deal. The girl who welcomed me was very polite and helpful. The rest of the staff was not. The first thing I was told was "this groupon isn't going to do you any good." The manager then tried to sell me some sort of clay scrub for $70 extra. When I declined this extra service I was given a hard time about it. When I asked where the waiting room was, I was met with an eye roll. The waiting room was clean, but there weren't any magazines or television. They did an okay job cleaning, but not great. When I left, I reached for my cell phone car charger and it wasn't there. I turned around, went back, and told them that the car charger must have fallen out of the car while it was being cleaned. They sent me outside to look in my car with one of the guys, while the other went back inside. After I asked him several times to check the floor of the room where the car was being cleaned, he went into the back room and "found it in the garbage." They claimed that someone must have swept it up and threw it away (in the 2 minutes between the time I left and returned...) I thanked them politely and left, never to return again. I don't like to accuse people of stealing, but the whole situation was very strange.

$3.00 wash = $850.00 car repai...

$3.00 wash = $850.00 car repairs!!! The inexpensive $3.00 car wash became incredibly expensive when the rotating felt strips ripped the drivers side mirror off of my door and then repeatedly beat the mirror against my door, and down the side of my truck. $300 for the mirror, and $550 in body repairs and painting of the door and the left side of the bed.

Worst of all is the guys attitude when he found out the wash damaged my car; he handed me my mirror and then pointed to the sign regarding their policy and said: that's why we have the policy, you are at your own risk to use the wash. No apology, no "let me see if I can buff out the scratches, let me meet you halfway".

Not until I became upset and told the guy that the better way to handle it would have been to at least apologize and act like you are sorry and offer free car washes or a detail or something did he decide to try and buff out some of the scratches. He felt he was doing me a favor by stopping the carwash to get my mangled mirror(that had been run over by that point).

Bad things happen, and that is fine, but they handled themselves poorly and were about as bad a customer service you can get. Stay away.
