James Hall has changed his company name to Magical Vacation Villas and he is still scamming people and stealing their money. After I learned of his history, and went through weeks of limited contact and changing homes prior to our stay, I complained and he promised me a refund. He refunded $50 out of $3450 and I have not heard from him since. We did not stay in his house. Thankfully, I found out what a crook he is before we went, and we were able to rent from a reputable company.

Same story with us, James Hall scammed us, ruined vacation for our family of 12, and stole our money. Needs to be criminally prosecuted.

DO NOT rent from this company they are a SCAM Promise my self and family a home. E mailed me 1 hr before we were to arrive and told us we didn't have a home, Put some of us in a hotel until he could FIND another..That never happened.. he owes me 1609.00 for a rental house for 10 at Christmas, needless to say it was ruined!!! now He won't respond to E mails or phone call's James Hall you should be ashamed of yourself

I highly recommend AGAINST renting from Solara. Without our agreement, our home was changed within days of our trip. Although this is identified as a possibility, the differences in the home we originally rented and the one we received were too drastic. We were told that the new home was "two steps above" our previous home. Comparing photos, locations and statistics of each home, it was clear that was not true.



Communication with Solara from the start until the end had been nearly non-existent. Once our money was received, Solara was exceptionally delayed in returning e-mails and phone calls, if at all.



Among other disappointments, we did not have hot water for six days of our stay. Numerous communications went unanswered. This is unacceptable. We came to the property to spend Christmas with our family (grandparents, children, grandchildren), and the visit was marred due to Solara's poor quality homes and customer relations.
