I like most of the nurse/office staff there, not to be confused with the nurse practitioner , she prescribed my children antibiotics for everything and told me my daughter just had allergies, give her half a teaspoon benedryl and some antibiotics, she should be fine. The next day I brought her to the ER and was immediately sent to shands for a full week because my 2 y.o. daughter had Kawasaki disease. This is a very scary thing that must be treated asap or it could damage her heart. Missing that diagnosis could have cost her her life. About a month After all of this, My daughter had a terrible rash since being hospitalized which would not go away despite everything and I made an appointment to be seen, a Dr there told me to use a and d ointment plus cortisone. I told him I was already and nothing changed. So I finally switched to a new Dr , she was immediately diagnosed with a yeast rash and was treated properly and it finally went away. Prior to this ,I was repeatedly told to get my one year old daughter blood work, and did, they were monitoring her due to low iron from breastfeeding... One time I lost the blood work orders and forgot and before the next appointment I was called and threatened with dcf for medical neglect if I didn't get it done within a day. I cannot go to a Dr who doesn't listen , where I don't feel comfortable, and where my children are being misdiagnosed. Any time my kids got sick I would take them to the ER,at Least there, they'd get properly diagnosed and treated.
