General Info

The Information Technology Division operates customer support and geographical information systems sections. Its network service division works to provide customer service, enterprise connectivity, and network engineering solutions and develop network access and security policies, standards and technical specifications. The department also has a systems and application development group that is responsible for overseeing enterprise level database development and management and generating reports. The Information technology Division works to capture, store, analyze and display geographically referenced information. Its radio and wireless division maintains a variety of electronic equipment, including camera security, satellite, audiovideo and public address systems. The division is governed by the City of Oakland in California.
