Devon Bank opened originally as the Devon North Town State Bank on September 15, 1945, just before the end of World War II. Our founders were local merchants who believed that the community known then as North Town, on Chicago's north side, would benefit from a community bank. Today, 65 years later, Devon Bank has remained an independent community bank with deep roots in our communities and with the dedicated customer commitment envisioned by our founders. Owned and operated by the Loundy family since 1953, Devon Bank has grown gracefully, along with our customers and our communities. Today we have 17 locations including five full service offices and twelve senior residence facilities. Devon Bank we celebrate our cultural diversity and are proud to be considered a caring organization characteristics that set us apart from other banks. Our cultural diversity is exemplified by the over 30 languages spoken by our staff, and in the array of scrumptious ethnic foods made by staff members for multicultural celebrations. CRA ratings measure how well a bank meets the credit and other financial needs of its communities.
