The Newton Recreation Commission is a fitness and recreational sports center located in Newton, Kan. The company offers youth outdoor soccer, youth flag football, youth volleyball leagues, coed softball tournaments, aquatics programs, facility rental, a wellness center, municipal pool rental, youth baseball and softball leagues and adult softball. Newton s Adventure Days day camp offers day trips to Sedgwick County Zoo, McPherson Water Park, Wranglers Game and Park, Derby Water Park, Hutch Water Park and All Star Sports Park. The company offers a park shelter, band shell, swimming pool and an athletic field at its athletic park. The Newton Recreation Commission also provides a wellness center equipped with a collection of cardiovascular equipment, dumbbells and strength training equipment for all members at least 12 years old.
