My family always buys cakes for our celebrations from Canon's Bakery! Their cakes never disappoint. They always taste so fresh and moist, it's almost addicting! I reccomend this place to everyone! Their prices are also affordable! Although I truly love this place, one thing I could suggest for improvement is the customer service. I feel that the employees should show more interest in their customers, be more genuine and try to build relationships with them. The employee at the register should also always be enthusiastic because they leave the lasting impression.

My wedding cupcakes were a disaster! They didnt put the cake on the top of the cupcake tier. They didnt even arrange the cupcakes nicely. The cupcakes were HIDEOUS!! Uneven.Some were bursting over the wrapper the icing was glopped on the top.. As if pooped out by a big blue bear. No effort AT ALL put into them. This was for a wedding!! I was mortified. And the response I got was I hope someone fixed it for you. I'll let my driver know. What good is THAT? My wedding is over. Let your baker & decorator know are terrible too I have gotten nice birthday cakes in the past here but this is a wedding !One day I cant get back! I was embarrassed! And all I got was sorry I'll let my driver know? Let him know what? My day is over! You cant fix crappy cupcakes! I wouldnt even take these to a preschool party. A waste of $300 &no photo for my album. You cant make up for that & they didnt offer to anyway. Please dont get your wedding cake/cupcakes from cannons. Its not worth the embarrassment.

My favorite bakery! Recommended to me by my now ex, these delicious cakes keep us in touch to this day!

Great flavor and beautiful designs. Every thanksgiving my union gets us an array of desserts from this bakery. Im in love.

Absolutely fantastic. When my husband and I went to place an order for our cake we had the best service. We told the sales lady exactly what we were looking for and they delivered. Our cake was a beautiful 3-tiered heart shaped cake with red white and blue coloring. Not only did it look beautiful it tasted fantastic.

No better wedding cake in Delaware! We had three different AMAZING flavors! Nothing better than Cannons!

My husband and I were only engaged about 4 1/2 months before we were married. We were so busy making bridesmaid dresses, the centerpieces for the tables and trying to figure out what to do about food (we did not get a caterer), that we forgot all about the cake. Two weeks before the wedding, we called around for prices. Sweets to You by Ginger were so expensive!! They wanted about 900 for a wedding cake. That was insane. Cannons were not badly priced. We got to sample a ton of different kinds of cakes. They were all very good! When I placed my order I had a younger guy help me and he was so so so friendly I got my cake, just as I wanted it. It was BEAUTIFUL! The delivery man was on time and so helpful. Over all, highly recommend. A great alternative to Sweets to You by Ginger.

I absolutely LOVED my wedding cake! I found a photo of a wedding cake online and I asked them to duplicate it for me. It came out perfect, it was beautiful. Although I didn't get to eat any of the cake, I got many compliments from guests. A couple of my guests even said that it was the best cake they had ever eaten. The price was also very reasonable compared to others in the area. Overall, I would highly recommend Cannon's Cakes.

Wedding cake is traditionally known for not being tasty, but this cake was amazeing. It was moist and wonderful and beautiful. So many designs to choose from. They even custom made a bleeding armadillo grooms cake for us like the one from Steel Magnolias.

My husband and I went with a photo of two cakes we liked and asked the Cannon rep if they could create a cake using elements from the two photos. The result was exactly what we wanted and tasted SO good. We needed enough for 150 people, which put the cake we wanted out of our price range, but Cannon's made a few recommendations and were willing to work with us to get what we wanted. Amazing service, amazing cake, I would highly recommend them to any brides or grooms to be!

Quality of Product: Excellent. For several years, it has been my exclusive place to purchase cakes/treats for special occasions. Every product is fresh and delicious. Carrot cake was a hit - very unique flavor. Have not tried the coffee.Cupcakes are okay, great for addition to main cake, but better off walking down to Sassafras Cupcakes on Main St.



Pricing: Decent assortment of goods and appropriately priced to represent quality. Cash/credit cards accepted.



Seating: Bright and unobtrusive seating area mostly used by a dedicated party planner and/or regular patrons.



Service: Attentive and caring. Have never felt rushed when ordering and were very helpful. A few times, they have helped me bring my purchased items to my car.



Area: Located across the street from the main shopping center and beginning of Main St. Bustling strip leading into the university campus.



Parking: Meter (you can pay with your credit card which is a new feature) and you could also park across the street at the Newark Shopping Center for free.

I have used this vendor for every important event in my life, including my wedding cake. I really love their cakes, and they really make it personal. The photo of our cake had white piping, but they changed the color to Sangira, which was our wedding color. We are still getting compliments on the cake!

I have a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman that began misfiring. I looked at the reviews for City Garage and immediately determined that I wanted to go try these guys out. I called and talked to Marlon and he told me to bring it in and he would look at it no charge.

My husband & I kept hearing how great Cannon's cakes were. So, we decided to get a Cannon's cake for a small family birthday party. My husband went into the shop and selected one of the pre-made cakes. He said the shop was packed with people, but that the line moved quickly. He was impressed with the level of service

Deliciously delicious cupcakes!

This Christmas, I received the opportunity to sample some of Cannon's other baked goods. For our Christmas Eve party, we ordered cookies, a pumpkin roll, and an apple pie from Cannon's, and were very satisfied with them. The cookies were delicious and flavorful, and had a variety of textures, satisfying everyone who tried them. The cake portion of the pumpkin roll was well-seasoned, and the cream cheese filling was smooth and creamy, with the slight tinge of sourness characterizing well-made cream cheese fillings and frostings complementing its sweetness. I'm not a huge apple pie person, but I did try a few bites, and it was quite tasty, as well.

I have had Cannon's baking custom cakes for us for the last two years. My most recent cake from them was my wedding cake and dessert spread. These guys are super creative, delicious and affordable. We will be going to them for years to come!
