Let me be the first to declare...

Let me be the first to declare that I have never written a medical review before! And I am currently an active western medical practitioner so for me to write this review is profound but was motivated by the need, urgency and dramatic results!

One month ago in sheer desperation, I began research on alternative medical treatment for chronic inflammatory bowel disease that had got progressively worse over the past 12 months and resulting in inability to continue working and multiple hospital emergency room visits for severe dehydration and intractable nausea.

My research lead me to Ayurveda therapy something that was totally foreign to me and meant thinking outside of the box so to speak since I never embraced integrative medicine.

I came across Dr. Reetu Rudra at Rudra Ayurveda and I went to her almost on bended knees pleading for help for conventional medical therapy had failed me miserably and I was convinced I was going to die!

Well what a shock I had waiting for me. Upon meeting Dr. Rudra and Roy, I was floored! She was Brilliant!!!! She knew exactly what My symptoms and discomfort were without much disclosure from me and when she explained what and why these symptoms were occurring and the way in which they were to be treated I was moved to tears finally my prayers were answered and not by one of my colleagues but from someone who embraced a totally different approach to medicine and treating both physical and mental as a whole! How refreshing!

Dr. Rudra was Kind compassionate, she exudes confidence and determination and her knowledge and understanding is surpass by none I have encountered before. She went out of her way and bent over backwards to help me. Sacrificing her weekends and evenings to accommodate my complicated schedule. She is simply the best!

Roy ….well what can I say but brilliant indeed. What an inspiration and a great soul!!! He will do cartwheels to help you achieve the best and he is there for you no matter what! He helped me for my breathing exercise and gave me meditation session.

Lastly, I will end my exhortation by saying this Dr. Rudra and Roy has opened my eyes to a more desirable alternative way of practicing medicine. I have made a 360 turn with my health and lifestyle thanks to her devoted intervention Bravo! Dr Rudra and Roy and thank you for being you

Hello, I am 37 years old an...

Hello,

I am 37 years old and I wanted to complement RUDRA AYURVEDA, as one of Dr. RUDRA's younger patients.

My 1st visit had to do with the cold feeling in my hands and my feet. Yet, once I was analyzed by the doctor, it was clear that I had more symptoms than I thought.

For instance, my memory was not up to par, and I was under way too much stress in my life without being able to handle it correctly.

Dr.Rudra was able to identify that I had way too much of the air element, but my earth, fire, and water elements were okay.

After checking the variety of pulse rates in my wrist, Dr.Rudra was able to read me like a book.

Everything she mentioned about my lifestyle, was exactly correct.

For instance, she knew that I hadn't been in a relationship in a very long time, that I kept to myself, and that I was under way too much stress from school and being a full-time student.

She cured me by prescribing 5 days of the Panchakarma Treatment, and that had to be the most relaxing 5 days of my life.

It was way more then a simple oil massage, because she was preparing my body to absorbed the many natural herbs that I was to be prescribed.

The oil seeps through your skin pores and is able to get your internal body ready for the natural herbs that are taken orally.

Within a month of taking nearly 5 different types of herbs my memory began to improve tremendously and I began to relax in life and ease up on all of my stress.

She also issued me a yoga and breathing meditation regime.

If anyone is seeking a purely natural way to heal internally and mentally, I would highly recommend visiting RUDRA AYURVEDA.

It truly teaches you to look inside of yourself and through the meditation and yoga, one literally learns how to heal one's body (and mind).

On a last note, I am still taking the herbs which she prescribed and feeling the best I've ever felt in my life.

God bless and....NAMASTE.

Overall
!!!!!!---Grazie Dr. Rudra! From Heather---!!!!!!

I came into Dr. Rudra's office in June feeling a complete mess. I was having lower back pain and neck pain and stomach pain. I was not sleeping well and had so much stress going on in my life. I had put on an extra 20 pounds over the last few years and was basically feeling very unhealthy and unhappy with my current state. I have known about Ayurvedic medicine and eating for a long while, but rarely practiced it (obviously). So I knew that I needed a true Ayurvedic Dr. to help me with my situation. It is very difficult to find a Dr. that practices Ayurveda in New York. I went online and searched and found Dr. Rudra. I spoke with her and set up an appointment immediately. We spent a good hour and a half discussing my problems and other things that pertain to Ayurveda and my health. She suggested that I eat certain foods during certain times of the day and to exercise and practice yoga during certain times of the day. All of this dependent upon my particular needs. She recommended particular yoga poses to help me with my specific problems and assured me that if I followed the food plan ( not a diet I must say) but particular foods during particular times of the day, and if I exercised and practiced yoga and meditation...then my problems would resolve themselves without the need for any medications. I scheduled several yoga sessions with Roy, who taught me how to BREATH and assisted me with learning the poses properly. I really think a lesson on meditation is helpful too if you do not know how to or need some guidance. Roy was an amazing teacher there as well. I also received several treatments for my lower back and neck with herbs and oils. Sadly, I am not living in New York right now to be able to continue yoga sessions with Roy or to continue treatment with Dr. Rudra. I think that they would both be so very proud to know that within 3 weeks after my first visit, I was free of back pain and neck pain. I have lost 15 pounds and not by dieting, but by following a plan suggested by Dr. Rudra. I feel healthy and strong and have a much clearer mind as well. Thank you so much to both Dr. Rudra and Roy for their help in getting me back on track. Grazie Mille! By Heather

Overall
Very Helpful Treatments for Pain and Debility from Neuromuscular Disorder

A disabling spinal neuromuscular condition causing chronic pain, stiffness, spasm and weakness, especially of my neck, shoulders, and arms, led me to Dr. Rudra, seeking pain relief and improved mobility and strength. She has helped me greatly.

Having benefited from acupuncture and Tuina, Chinese medical bodywork and looking further into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) I learned of Medicine, which in large measure, predated and formed the foundation of TCM’s approach to illness, use of herbs and even acupuncture. Ayurvedic Medicine appeared to have a highly developed system of diagnosis, and treatment, incorporating constitutional factors with diet, yoga, breathing exercise and use of medicinal herbs and oils.

My TCM experience taught me an important lesson concerning the training and credentials of practitioners which I applied in seeking a doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine. In China, acupuncture and herbal preparations together with Tuina, therapeutic bodywork, involving massage and manipulation, are taught and administered in University settings and require multi-year study and clinical training in University Hospital In the US one can receive acupuncture treatment from a licensed acupuncturist who is not a formally trained Doctor of TCM and who, most likely, has not had the equivalent depth and breadth of training and clinical experience. I always got the greatest benefit from Chinese trained TCM doctors and Medical Tuina therapists

In India, Doctors of Ayurvedic Medicine undergo a multi-year full time medical school curriculum of study with hands on clinical training at the hospital or clinic affiliated with the particular college based or university based program. A wide variety of patients with the full range of medical maladies are treated in these hospitals and clinics. In addition to the proper use of herbal medical preparations that are ingested, another fundamental treatment procedure and essential doctor's skill is the preparation and application of medicinal oils, herbs, and poultices to the body, with specialized massage techniques and also directly to the ears, nose, and other areas of the body using poultice dams and continuous flow e.g., to the forehead with Shirodara. Special therapists trained and certified by Doctors of Ayurveda Medicine can also administer these procedures under the doctor's supervision. In the US, however, Ayurvedic massage and related procedures are increasingly offered in spa type operations, whose purpose is not dedicated to Ayurvedic medical evaluation and treatment of disease. Because of my frank and chronic medical condition, I considered only an Indian trained and credentialed Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine with clinical training, preferably at a university hospital, who could directly offer the full range of treatments.

My experience with the Ayurvedic treatments has been very satisfactory. Dr. Rudra has been most professional, attentive and patient; explaining her approach and recommendations and fully addressing any questions and concerns I had. The series of massage treatments with medicinal oils and, particularly the Shirodara, the spinal Basti and both the Nasya and Karnapurna procedures for the sinuses and the ears, have been very helpful in reducing pain, stiffness, spasm and improving mobility. The Basti procedure performed by Dr. Rudra, is one that have not I have not been able to find elsewhere within New York City, that is regularly offered, even by equally credentialed practitioners. Together with the dietary guidelines and recommended yoga and breathing techniques, shown to me by Dr, Rudra, I have been able to maintain and even increase the improvement over time
