I go to this school its good but boring a little for the fifth graders like myself

Those reviewers from 2008 are crazy! This is one of the best schools in Dade county! Awesome teachers, and administration supports them with what they need to give the kids a quality school day, every day. Nice new school, too.

I am the parent of a first grader. I am also studying to be a teacher. I have been inside of many Miami Dade schools over the last few years, and this is the only school that actually got me excited about teaching. CML finally got a new school built, but even in the old building, what happens inside the classrooms is fantastic. Their secret is that they have attracted and retained some very high quality teachers. Since students have to qualify to get into the school, they do have a more motivated set of students and parents than your average MDCPS school, but in addition to that, the teachers are motivated too, and they act like the professionals that they are. If you still have doubts, ask to observe a classroom. We parents may have to deal with parking lots and office stuff, but it's the quality of the teachers that make all the difference in my child's day, and the teachers at CML are outstanding! Oh, and by the way, the new parking lot is pretty nice too ; )

If i were interested in the parking lot, I might be swayed. Thank goodness I am not influenced by such superficiality. I am very interested, however, in what the teachers are doing in the classrooms and how well they are supported by their adminstration. And as a CML parent wtih two children in attendance at this school for several years, I am happy to report the school is OUTSTANDING in both of these areas. As for the principal (BTW disgruntled parent, its "pal" when referncing a person in charge, not "ple," which is used for a tenet or rule), I'II admit she's quirky. However, her approach works and works wonders. Being a TOP school academically, year after year after year, and doing so while starting with far more kids from less-than-privileged backgrounds, speaks volumes for the qulaity of the staff and program! So, dear parent, I am sorry for your child that you couldn't see past a parking lot and a bit of occasional chaos to see what is a fantastic staff who work wonders ... year in, year out.

its not worth your child failing.

Picking up your students is very bad and difficult. The school is located behind a middle school on the same lot! theres not enough supervision for the children. and no parking for the parents! The school is an eye soar and needs help now!! Bad children are not sent back to there zoned schools no matter what they do its not safe!!

This school has no accomadations for parking! Lazy is too good of a word for the office staff! Parents dont recieve a welcome letter, a notice of class room assignments is unheard of and if you get the wrong language teacher your child wont learn anything! Kids are able to attend the school even if there too bad for their zoned schools!!! Terrible!!
