Dewey Destin's Harborside

We always enjoy a fresh seafood meal here when we travel down to Destin. Their outdoor seating is amazing with views of the bay.

The fresh fish is always very good but the side dished leave a lot to be desired. I'm from the Midwest so our corn on the cob is way better. They tend to over cook it and it isn't very sweet,but overall decent food

Food was good. I had grilled yellow fin tuna. 10-12 oz steak basket w/ corn, Cole slaw & potatoes for &18. Wife had stuffed shrimp basket. Ambiance was right on water. Parking was dirt. Only negative

The food was very good. The seating area was very crowded and hot. Getting your drink refilled was a hassle. Would eat there again, but would get it to go.

The atmosphere is quaint & eating area is small but good is absolutely phenomenal!! Love those beautiful sunsets off the dock at Dewey Destin as well. We usually try to eat here at least twice on most vacations in Destin...most other places pale in comparison.

We went to Dewey's 2 times this past week while visiting Destin FL. The food was very good but the service was absolutely unacceptable the second time. I would like to say first of all that I am a server and have worked in restaurants on and off the past 6years so I am very understanding of certain situations BUT there was no excuse for the terrible service we received. It started off with our server practically throwing coasters on our table and asking what we want to drink and everything quickly went downhill from there with our app taking 30 minutes and our food taking a total of 1.5 hours. We even got the managers attention and spoke to him but he did nothing to make the situation better and also walked off leaving 3 drinks on our table completely empty and in need of refills. We finally left without receiving our food and had dinner at chick-Fil-a on a Friday night at 10:30. Even though our first visit there went well the second experience was something I will never forget and will keep me and my family from ever going there again.

Wonderful fried and stuffed shrimp.

The best fried grouper basket! The colossal fried shrimp basket was great. Even bought key lime pie upon leaving. We sit under an umbrella on the dock, the scenery was beautiful and serene! We also bought t- shirts too! I highly recommend them. Slightly pricey but not really for the amount of food. We plan to come again when we come to Florida. We're from Tennessee.

Ate lunch outside on the water. My folks had the fried shrimp basket. They thought the hushpuppies were the best they've ever had (and we eat a lot of seafood!). 9 shrimp, 2 hushpuppies and lots of fries. I had grilled grouper basket. Large portion of delicious fish with a small corn and a couple of red potatoes. About $60 for the 3 of us with tea to drink. Great dining experience!

Sit outside - it's amazing. I really like the fish basket and always take my friends here for lunch.

Had dinner there last September--best dinner I had in the 10 nights of my vacation. Delicious food, supreme service. Can't wait to go again in 4 weeks!

i haven't been to the harborside location and probably won't. the calhoun ave location is the bomb. this is the freshest seafood cooked up in a dockside shack, get your drinks out of a cooler and sit on the dock and eat and eat and eat. seafood doesn't get any better than this. no its not fancy and they don't take reservations; wear your shorts and sunglasses and bring your appetite.
