I am a disabled combat veteran, I have a service dog. According to Federal Law (Americans with Disabilities Act) my dog is allowed to go wherever I go. The greeter demanded my dogs papers. I explained that according to Federal Law, she could ask only 2 questions, 1 is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? 2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate it's task, or inquire about the nature of the persons disability. I was still denied entry. So much for supporting American Veterans.

The fried fish was mushy, but other fish (or something) was dry in the wando, which had a tiny piece of fried grits for a base under a rich sauce. Salad was bowl of lettuce with little more and cost extra as a side. Jambalaya had crab shell pieces in it. Service was pretty good.

It was literally one of the worst experiences of my life. The management was horrible. I was in the bar with my fiancé and I over heard a group of people celebrating a friends birthday. One of the by standing customers was offended by the degree of the celebration and said a couple of rude racist comments to the group of celebrating friends. The manager came over and kicked the group out and after they left he returned back to the outside bar and continued to bash the group and saying racist things himself. I have never felt so offended and discussed in my life. I will never return to this place again and if you are any kind of American I don’t think you should either.

I was a regular here from 95' till 99' when I moved away. Now that I am back in FL I drop in a few times a yr. This is where the locals eat. Awsome boat shaped bar. Very casual dining. Outdoor bar on the creek in season. Open fry-line where one can watch the chef's cooking. AWSOME fresh seafood. I just love this place and am sure to drop in whenever I am in the Charleston area. See ya soon!
