Caring4mycommunity? More like caring 4 making people miserable. The whole neighborhood that you live in has constantly called you a nuisance and would like you to leave. You put people down, most likely because you are miserable with your own life. You bought a house by a grocery store and then complain about your house by the grocery store? You're worried about the lights waking up your children, news flash! you and your husbands fighting wakes up my family! If you really feel you are in danger with "explosives" also known as fireworks to sane people than move! Who complains about the danger their family is in and then continues to live there? I think you should spend a little more time caring about your weight than the lights from a sign...maybe then you would be a more pleasant person

buying, selling and using fireworks is legal in michigan. if you dont like it- MOVE. i assume you live very close to Milford Grocery. Did you not see the building there when you moved? You didnt expect a store to have lights? You are the reason communities are ruined. crybaby. move out of milford, no one wants you there.

Honest people shedding the lig...

Honest people shedding the light on bad situations and providing honest reviews do not ruin stores. The lack of respect for the communities in which they are supposed to be serving and bad business practices are what ruins businesses; my review is a result of those practices, not the cause!

It’s great that a few kids get to play baseball while my kids and many people are kept awake half the night! Unfortunately, even with the blinds closed, our kids are unable to sleep because this store’s signage illuminates our entire house all hours of the night. Incidentally, the store’s sign is in violation of the Village ordinance regarding signage and a business that disregards community ordinances as well as the people residing in the neighborhood doesn’t seem community friendly at all. Perhaps if someone were to stand outside their homes and shine a spotlight through their windows, maybe they would start to care about the people who reside in this neighborhood. And it affects a lot of people in the neighborhood.

Still, maybe some people would welcome a GIANT tent filled with explosives right in their backyards. I, on the other hand, do not feel that making a few extra bucks is worth risking the health, safety and well-being of the children, people and homes that boarder this store. If the owners wouldn’t set up a tent filled with explosives in their own backyards, then they shouldn’t do it in ours.

I stand by my review including the fact that our experience has been that many items in this store have been at, near or past expiration dates! When we used to shop at this store, I cannot count the number of times that we had to turn around and take items right back because they had been expired for quite a while. There are plenty of reviews out there from other people stating the same.

Finally, it is out of line to suggest that my review of this business is anything more than an honest review about poor business practices that negatively affect our community.

Greatest store/people in town!

I have nothing but the best things to say about this store and the family that owns it. It's unfortunate people like caring4community ruin great stores because it seems like she has something against the owners. They have donated hundreds of dollars to my son baseball team. I will support them because they constantly support our community. FYI kroger doesn't help the community one bit.

ZERO STARS!!!!

This store is NOT community friendly at all. Their signage is brighter than the city ordinance allows and it illuminates the entire front half of our house. Numerous complaints have been made with the Village and it has been reported to us that the owners always claim that someone is coming out to work on it. Well, this has been ongoing for over a month now.

Still other families in the neighborhood complain that the store’s parking lot lights shine right into their homes. Now this store is selling fireworks in the parking lot. Many of us feel that having explosives right inside the neighborhood is a danger to us and our children. This store's parking lot is right up against family homes in some areas.

Aside from the lack of respect that the owners clearly show for those of us who actually reside in this community, our experience has been that many of the food products are at, near or past the expiration date. GO KROGERING! THEIR FOOD IS FRESH AND THEY CARE ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY!

The Village Butcher downtown is a GREAT place for FRESH AND QUALITY MEATS with a true community feel. Their advertisement even reflects their commitment to our community: "At the Village Butcher Shoppe, we pride ourselves in offering an Old World Style Meat Market to the community." http://www.villagebutchershoppe.com/

There are also terrific bakeries and a candy shop downtown where the merchants care about their customers and the community in which we live!!!!!

The best meat counter in town ...

The best meat counter in town along with the best people working the store. As far as dirty and eating from Krogers Dumpster... they have it wrong. Better produce and that odd to find product keeps me going back. Give me a home town store, not a franchise. Milford Grocery over Kroger's anytime.
