Milford Gardens

We have used Millford Gardens for a number of years to maintain our landscaping needs. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, helpful and provide excellent customer service.

We needed some work done on our 30 year old landscaping at our office. Steve came out, gave me a couple of suggestions, and once we agreed what would be done, his crew went to work. The end result looks beautiful, clean and so much better than the old dated mess we had, and they did the job on time with minimal mess. Highly recommended!

Milford Gardens is a wonderful company. I have been using for years. 30+ tree's in the past year. I could not be happier.

Milford Gardens does NOT even deserve one star! The owner is extremely rude! I called them last weekend and asked if they still had apple trees left. I was told they had quite a few left and the price was $25 each. She said if I was interested, to come back before they close for the season. Their sign out front says they are open for 6 more days. We hooked up our trailer to our car and planned on buying apple trees today. Once there, we were told they already had packed up all their apple trees for the season. We asked the owner if she would give us the $25 price on 2 trees next spring on the ones that were put away. She said, "no, I can't do that" and turned and walked away from us!!! So incredibly rude and unprofessional!!! I would NEVER go back!!! And, here we had planned on buying garden accessories for Christmas presents while there, too. Not anymore, not ever!!!!

I love the selection. I found the staff very helpful. The trees I purchased were delivered and installed with great care, they made sure my spruce were all even. My trees are doing great thanks to the advice from the salesperson who took the time to explain how to care for all the plants I bought. I definitely recommend shopping here.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If you have hired them, CANCEL immediately! If you can't cancel, plan on supervising them while they're at your property. My experience was nearly identical from Kalyn's. Owner Steve is rude. His crew damaged our sprinkler system and wants to get paid to fix his mistake.

I am shocked and disgusted by the way I was just spoke to by the owner of Milford Gardens. We bought our tree there a few weeks ago and it is already struggling. I brought in a few leaves for them to look at. An employee asked that next time to please bring them in a bag, no problem. When the owner was given the leaves he aggressively told me how I could have just diseased his entire nursery by bringing in the leaves. I apologized and he continued to berate me. He even said "and I am being nicer than I usually am to most people". I told him that was sad that he talked to people so rudely. He continued to publicly belittle me and talk down to me in front of my girls. As he wouldn't help me, I told him he would just go somewhere else. I kept my composure the entire time, and the other employee even followed me out and apologized. After I informed my husband of the way I was treated, he called the owner who continued to be aggressive with him. My husband asked for them to come get the tree and refund our money as it is clearly struggling and they are unwilling to help. The owner refused saying the tree isn't dead and hung up on My husband. I came in with the intention of buying more plants and trees today, but will never go back there again. We wanted to support a small local business and we were treated horribly.

The staff is very friendly.

Pricing is high. They are quick to give you 50% off your purchase which makes their warranty effectively null as you must pay the other "half" to get a replacement under warranty.

They had a very cool tiki table and stool set on "sale" for $1,100.00 which I found elsewhere for $850.00.

I did purchase two specimens last spring and had MG plant them. I notified them immediately that they were improperly planted (I have a little experience in this as I have a substantial investment in landscaping). I was informed that they know what they are doing and I have a warranty should anything go wrong. Both specimens quickly died. I again contacted MG and was advised to contact them this spring for warranty replacement. I attempted to contact them via their website and telephone multiple times, no reply. Finally I reached the owner who scheduled an appointment to inspect my yard to address this issue as well as to make a few recommendations for some additional items I was looking for. I took the afternoon off for the appointment but MG was a no show. I have since had little luck in getting anyone to address my concerns.

I have moved on to a more reputable supplier.

Staff is knowlegable and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Design work is very nice. Work (installation) is terrific!

The staff there were no tonly very knowledgable about there product, I have never been to a store with such friendly service. I recommend them to everyone, and have.
