Saltgrass Steak House

Horrible service!!!!!! Ordered food and was presented to me cold. My drinks were wrong...... Then to top it off my date potatoes were well over cooked. All we received was apologizing management, that still did show any discount with meal granted we had to wait nor a gift certificate for the inconvenience. I will never eat at this place again!

I took my family there (6-17-16) Much to my sadness, I ordered the Sirloin K-Bob, and it would be my luck that while chewing the vegetables in the k-bob, I found something hard enough to chip a tooth. I was able to find the chip of tooth and showed it to her. She-manager (Amanda) was very apologetic and took my info and she assured me that her corporate office would take care of my tooth and make the incident right. Corporate refused the claim.

Really sad, especially for a higher end restaurant.

Someone needs to slow their roll about being the best steaks ever! Venture out a bit because these steaks are sub par at best. Not to mention the fact that the price of them is through the roof. Do yourself a favor, go next door to Logan's roadhouse, pay 5-10$ less for the exact same steak and cut, and enjoy the rolls, they are amazing.



O ya and the wait staff Isn't the best but the management is good.

Service was terrible, rude all over

(Short answer - haven't eaten there yet, poor service, will spread the word, wont step foot in the Midland, TX Saltgrass ever again)



Yesterday I decided to try this place out for the first time. It was my husbands birthday and I wanted to treat him to something nice. We walked in at 4:58 pm.and were promptly seated. I was shocked since this place is still fairly new and a lot of tables were seated. We were provided our menus and the hostess walked away. We watched 3 or 4 waitstaff walk by our table, at least 3 what I would assume were managers (light blue shirts) also walked by. About 3-5 minutes after we walk in, an older couple is seated right next to us. We watch a few the waitstaff chit chatting near the back computer by the kitchen and others checking their tables. Finally after about 7-8 minutes a guy comes to the older couples table and gets their drink order then comes to our table and says, "I'm (name) and I won't be your server today but could I go ahead and get your drink order?" Drinks arrive, ask for a straw, he hands us 1 straw, I ask for more, he comes back with 1 (there are 4 of us)...seems mad that he has to get more straws. Our drinks arrive a few minutes later. After approximately 15 minutes of us sitting there, the waiter walks to the older couple next to us and takes their order and then comes to our table (we were there first but I guess arrival times don't matter) and says, "I'm ( name ) and I'll be your server today, so did we get your drinks situated?" I probably made a rear of myself but the drinks are on the table in front of us so the question must have been rhetorical but I answered with a smart remark. He asked me if everything was ok and I tried to politely explain that it was not and for a first impression of an overpriced steakhouse, I could not believe the way we were treated. He quickly apologized and blamed shift change for the wait (after reading reviews I'm not sure I believe that)...explained the specials blah blah blah. We placed our order, he said he was going to get the manager to our table and walked away. About 3 minutes later we decided to leave. I was nice enough to tell them to cancel our order. The female (I guess manager) asked me why and asked if there was anything she could do to make it right. I told her that I would rather go somewhere that I know I would be treated right and wouldnt have to worry about someone spitting in my food now that I had been rude. My Facebook post about our Saltgrass revealed that it sucks horribly and the food isnt all that great...nor the cooks. Texas Roadhouse seated us immediately, had a very friendly, upbeat smiling waitress that received well over a 20% tip.

Great service and excellent food

Greatest steak I've ever eaten, I recommend the ribeye.
