HORRIBLE customer service! We were ONLY 4 days late, yes, only 4 days, and called to let them know we were making a double payment on Friday. Donna in payments in the Marion office was so rude to me! She snapped at me, treated me like I was a piece of crap and made me feel horrible and worthless! You do not treat your customers that way! We just purchased our car and I am seriously debating returning it because I do not want to be talked to like a child and disrespected by this hateful lady every time I call to make a payment!!! Auto Credit should fire this evil woman and hire someone who truly knows what customer service means!!! I've filed a report with the BBB.

These people love to act like they are helping out someone in a bad situation... They promise you the moon and back and then once you sign the paper-- on a car that is over priced for what it is worth... their attitudes change.. If you have a problem and need some more time-- forget it.. We were behind 2 payments $360 and I paid them $350 and they would not turn the car on (they have a device that shuts off the car when pymt isn't made and it has GPS) for the $10 to get to work.. When you call them and have a problem and you make an arrangement with them.. then call back and say you don't have what you promised.. Their 'case manager- Melissa' Tells you that you are not man enough to keep your word!!.... These people treat you like dog crap.. Take advantage of you when you are down... If I could turn around and sell the car to get rid of them- I would in a heart beat.. But, I can't cause they over charge for what the car is really worth.. They don't care to help you clean up your credit... People come into hard times and they make it harder.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTO CREDIT OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS... you are better off riding a bike, walking, taking public transportation... Oh, and called for my pay off and they still charge you all the interest- even if you pay it off in advance!!!

auto credit

They thrive on ripping off those who are on in situations were they really need a vehicle but in financial troubles. We purchased a 2000 ford Windstar 1&half yrs ago from them because we were a 1 car family & husband was starting a new job that made it impossible to only have 1 car & we had recently filled bankruptcy due to medical bills that were out of control. Not knowing what else to do we went to Auto Credit and yes they got us in a vehicle. The vehicle we purchased started having problems only 2 months after the purchase because it was over 30days and none of it was in third warranty we payed extra for we were on our own to fix it all to much to list all that went wrong but over all it has been in the shop more than it's ran and in the last 3 months has had a new fuel pump and altenater and most resent the transmission went out. Due to the fact we have already put more than 3grand into the van and we were quoted almost 2 grand to have the transmission rebuilt we thought maybe we could call auto credit and they would work something out with us let us trade it in or something but NO they wanted an additional 3grand up front to trade their car in for another one of their cars. Since now our credit is much, better we called a dealership in hopes to maybe trade the van in and get a "good car" which fortunately we were approved but unfortunately since after paying on van 1&yrs on a 3yr loan we still owed 3000$ more than it was worth and due to that it was going to make our car payment more than we could afford. We found out that at the time of the purchase we payed just under 10grand for a car that's blue book value was just above 4grand. How is that fair? So we really needed a working vehicle we called auto credit back and complained finely they told us to send them an estimate we soon found out that they were going to tack the transmission on to our car payment which is already 330$ a month for a 12 yr old mini van that we have 19% apr on plus more months with more than 4 Weeks we pay every payday e I Friday 165 never even been an hr late on our payment either. Since we knew we had to have a vehicle and we were out of options we took a bank loan out to fix the transmission with hope that it last another yr so we can trade it but guess what less than two Weeks ago we got it from the transmission shop now it's back in the shop not sure what the problem is yet but were told by a 2nd auto mechanic that it's not the transmission this time. UGH so I just want people to know what they are getting into when they purchase a vehicle from auto credit they 1 are being charged way to much and 2 they do not stand by their vehicles they sell them as is and they have not been checked out before u purchase
