Hickory Hill Meats

They do an awesome Job. I have been buying a cow about every two years. He uses Hickory Hill for the cutting and packaging process.

You need to understand when it goes in it is on the Hoof. They cut and remove then Hang it for awhile. Mine goes in around 1000 Lbs. and comes out around 650 Lbs.

This is a normal process because of all the parts and fluid they have to discard.

Their Vacuum Sealed process is also Awesome.

If we continue to purchase I hope my Uncle continues to use them.

I am not sure if your calf was 300 lbs live weight or 300 lbs hanging weight but you do have to realize that there will be a loss in weight due to bone loss and shrinkage from water loss. It also can depend on how you had it cut. If however that was your live weight, we suggest you feed it some more grain. My husband raises fat cattle and sells them every year and Hickory Hill does the majority of the butchering for us as it is most of our customers preference. You would be surprised by the amount of people who complain because they think they were jipped on their beef but figure it out after we explain that to them.

DONT GO THERE!!!! IF YOU DO MAKE SURE THEY WEIGH IT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! I DROPPED OFF A 300ILB CALF, WHEN I GOT HOME AND WEIGHED IT THERE WAS ONLY 151 LBS!!!!!!!!! IMAGINE HOW MANY PEOPLE DONT WEIGH THEIR MEAT ?! THEY ARE RIPPING OFF US.... THE CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
