Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores

I went to this store on 8/14 to have a cross-stitch sampler framed. The clerk said it would take 2-3 weeks. While there, I mentioned I was entering it in the Big E craft competition and needed to deliver it on 9/11 - plenty of time. Eleven days after I dropped it off, they called to tell me the frame I wanted was on back order and wouldn't be available for another two weeks - not in time for me to enter the competition. So I lost over a weeks' worth of time getting my project framed in time for my deadline. The stores don't know what is available and what isn't until their order comes in on Friday. It is unbelievable that, in this electronic day and age, they don't know immediately upon placing an order what will be back ordered. I recommend not going there for framing if you have a deadline to meet; you may not get it in time, and won't know about it for more than a week.

I went to this Jo ann etc. to buy my first sewing machine. I wanted something affordable . The lady was very rude and I left feeling upset. The fabric isn't that great either. I went to walmart and bought a great sewing machine for the same price the lady laughed in my face and said you cant buy a sewing machine for that price. Well I have now been able to sew 3 beautiful shirts and two handbags with the new sewing machine. Don't go to this store if you are a nice person like me...
