Union Street Family Dental

My entire family comes here. I feltso comfortable with the entire staff. Had to have a few different things done and it was such a great process. The receptionist is sweet and remembers you, the staff was amazing with my 5 and 9 year old. My 5 year old even asked if the dentist could clean her teeth everyday cause she made them feel so clean! :)

I went here for the $59 dental cleaning and x-ray deal.



The cleaning was incredibly painful, the dentist didn't seem to care that I have sensitive teeth. I was tearing up and wincing in pain the entire time.

After the cleaning, I was told I had 16 cavities (couldn't believe it!), which would total around 1000 to fix.

I brush and floss my teeth every day and always get compliments on my teeth and how well I take care of them, but I hadn't been to a dentist in a while so I took this person's word for it.

But just to make sure, I got an estimate from Dr. Louis Brown at Prosthetic Associates on Lewis St. in Lynn, and he only found 4 cavities.

Dr. Brown told me that maybe the dentist at Union St. might have mistaken stains for cavities, but I'm glad I didn't spend the money to get 16 teeth filled before I found out they weren't cavities.



Also, the x-rays I paid for in the $59 visit could not be transferred over to the other dentist because Union St. is greedy and doesn't want you to be able to get estimates at other places, even though I paid for the x-rays.



Would not recommend these people.

called in severe teeth pain with an emergency, and got put on hold for five minutes till I hung up and went to the er instead, and I really had wished that the woman that put me on hold spoke English, I have severe anxiety about the dentist, it is hard enough to call to begin with, then I get completely ignored when I have a real problem and try to get help and get past my fear
