Lived here 15 years and have had so many problems with this post office, silly things from my mail being returned to me because my printer printed the return address on the envelope, to loss of a package worth $300 to my mail going to my neighbors, lost checks that were sent from the apartment, an employee lieing to the postmaster (I heard what she said in the background on the phone), postmaster there not willing to talk with me anymore and his last corres was rude. I've taken this to the US Postmaster and over the years no one has ever solved anything. Luckily I do keep up with the news and see where postal trucks in general fall off bridges, are in floods, are overturned and lose mail, and last month heard about theft by an unnamed temp employee, and heard about a postal employee who worked his job but left the mail at his home and just didn't deliver it. I just want to know where my 3 checks from a year ago are and 2 lost right now.

This is a great post office, never had a problem here. Sounds like the other reviewers created their own problems and won't take responsibility for their own actions.

On October 15, I applied online for a PO Box then went to the post office to get my box number and keys. They gave me a box that had only one key and said they would order another. I went through submitting a forwarding address for the new box, then changed my official mailing address with everuone else -- friends, utilities, etc., etc.. On Oct. 28, 13 days later, the Lutz post office called me to say they had given me a box that been given to another person in JULY but had not been entered in the computer, causing them to re-issue the box to me. I guess that's why they could only find one key. Now, I have to go through changing my address all over again.

I agree with previous writer. Have lived at present address for 25 years, Had decent carriers for awhile but last few years has been poor. One carrier was too lazy to drive to all of the boxes so just put mail in random boxes in front of subdivision. Then there is the usual wrong box delivery even with correct name and address. Lately the carrier stopped delivering mail because a letter was sent to us with last name the same but first name unknown to us. Noted that that person did not live at this address so carrier marked on our account that we had moved and all of family had moved without leaving forwarding address! Now we are trying to track down what was returned to sender, etc.

I have never in all my years living in tampa been upset by the way a postoffice has handled my mail. I have been a divorce mother for 10 yrs. I have lived in many apartment complexes there were times my mailbox has been so far i would only check it once a week. I pay most of bills online so i don't get paperbill. For the postman to assume im not living there w/o a change of address or anything to say different. I depend on my childsupport checks to raise my girls, for the last 2 weeks i have been not able to grocery shop and haven't had milk for my kids. cause your postman assumed i didn't live there. i will take this as high as i have to my bf mom is the postmaster in tampa i already call her and left message to find out who and how i can get this complaint to the right person for something like this never again happen to a single mother.....
