Dental Sealants
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “ dental health care ” vs. “ disease care ”. Fillings
Although studies indicate that there are no measurable health risks to patients who have silver fillings, we do know that mercury is a toxic material when we are exposed at high, unsafe levels. For instance, we have been warned to limit the consumption of certain types of fish that carry high levels of mercury in them. However, with respect to amalgam fillings, the ADA maintains that when the mercury combines with the other components of the filling, it becomes an inactive substance that is safe.
Veneers

Dentures
– Brush at least twice a day with an ADA approved fluoride toothpaste and toothbrush. Floss daily to remove food debris and plaque from in between the teeth and under the gumline. Brush or use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and reach the back areas. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months. If you wear dentures or removable bridges, clean them thoroughly and place them back in your mouth in the morning.

Dental Implants
Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Siena College. He subsequently received his D.D.S. from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1987. The following year Dr. Pominville completed an internship at Albany Medical Center. In 2013 Dr. Pominville completed an Implant Maxi Course at the University of Toronto. The course covered surgical and prosthetic instruction on dental implant placement and restoration.

As Dr. Pominville's assistant, Stacy assists with all aspects of patient care and presenting treatment. She attended Alfred University in Alfred, NY on a National Merit Scholarship, and in 2010 earned a Bachelor’s of the Arts degree in Chemistry and Biology. Dr. Clemens completed her dental education at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine on Long Island, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014. Upon graduating, Dr. Clemens completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. She has been practicing dentistry as an associate for the 1st Advantage Dental Group in Latham, NY since 2016.
