Founded in 1947, American Jewish University is one of the largest Jewish institutions throughout the United States. It offers a variety of programs and courses for students. The university provides classes, symposia and lectures on Judaism. American Jewish University academic curriculum includes courses in bioethics, psychology, liberal studies, business, political science, and communication arts and science. It offers management and arts programs at various religious institutions. The university operates a library that has various Judaic books. American Jewish University provides community and education programs that include Yesod, Making Marriage Work and the Schurgin Elderhostel. In addition, it provides career counseling, health, psychological, recreational and parking services for students. American Jewish University also offers adult Jewish and language studies.
