Great place, staff is really nice, they have a game room in the waiting area along with movies in the back to keep kids occupied. Dr. Donald is super sweet, my kids really liked his easy going nature, very easy to talk to, I see why kids like him. Great place would recommend.

We love Dr. Donald and his staff. I have personally gone to many dentist growing up and as an adult to know what I would in a dentist for my daughter.
From the moment we were in , to the moment we left, the staff was friendly and caring towards my daughter (who had just turned 4 at the time) and other children in their office.
Dr. Donald took the time with her in our consultation appointment to make sure she would sit by herself, opened her mouth, let him take a peek and everything. He talked to us about everything and anything on how will he treat her and all the steps to the procedures.
The front desk was very communicative went it came to letting us know they will request an authorization from the insurance, and until the approval, we couldn't schedule our appointment. I followed up myself with the insurance to make sure they process the auth in a timely manner. However, they also called me from the office to advise it was approved and to schedule my appointment for her.

OVER ALL - I would recommend this pediatric dentist to anyone who is in need to take their child to a pediatric dentist.

We love both Ashley and Delaney the hygienist who clean my children's teeth. They are so kind, soft spoken and get to know your child. Dr. Donald is an amazing dentist. Our last dentist in Lake Mary wanted to fill a very small cavity on a baby tooth. We switched to Dr. Donald and he took a more conservative route and suggested we watch it because most likely he felt the tooth would fall out before causing complications. Sure enough, he was right. We also love that parents can go back while they are cleaning your child's teeth. Excellent all around!! Highly recommend to everyone!!

I think Dr. Donald is a capable dentist, and a horrible business person. I will never go back to his office, and say "buyer beware" to anyone considering using his services. He cares more about money than your child. Here is my account of the situation.

Dr. Donald's staff member Ashley lied about checking on my insurance coverage in advance of the appointment, as I had requested her to do after the initial consultation. She then filed with the wrong insurance company for months and months, even though I kept giving them the correct info - she kept telling me I had no coverage. When she finally filed the claim with the correct insurance, there was less coverage than expected and a waiting period. She had obviously not checked the insurance prior to the appointment, as she said she had. Furthermore, she insisted that I never requested her to do this, which I know to be another lie, because I always request such a document. If she had just done what she said she would do it would be a whole different situation. My main argument here is that if I had just been told the TRUTH by ASHLEY, his office worker, then I would have had choices and options up front. Since she LIED and promised that she checked on the insurance ahead of time and estimated my portion to be "about $50," I decided to go ahead with the procedure. I received a collection letter from the dentist's office for almost $900.

I asked the dentist to reduce the bill in light of the fact that his office staff lied to me. I spoke with him directly. He seemed to barely understand what I was saying during our phone call. I had to repeat the scenario several times. He then told me his practice couldn't possible bear the financial hit.

There was some more back and forth, but in the end, I just can't trust him with my child's care.

You can't make a complaint against a dentist regarding fees in any circumstance, just procedural problems, so he's in no licensure danger over managing his business in this manner. Inevitably, he'll lose patients if he runs his office this way. Ultimately, he can prove he performed services and in every dentist's office they make you sign a form that they are not responsible for filing insurance, or providing accurate information and that the patient is ultimately responsible for payment. They are not even governed into charging usual and customary fees, they can charge whatever they want for their services. Mostly, dentists are good business people, if they run their own practice, and work in an smart and ethical manner, this guy is clearly just a bad business person. I will certainly throw any bad press I can his way.
