We strongly believe that your dogs should be treated like a part of our family when you're away. Care, comfort and peace of mind is what matters most to us. We care and attend to your furry child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Yes, we make sure they are absolutely taken care of every moment they are in our "Backyard". With many years of training and learning from some of the most sought after dog handlers and trainers in the industry, Karen and RJ are determined to bring new vision and innovation to Kauai in regards to understanding our favorite (and often misunderstood) family members. We are certain to exceed both yours and your dog's expectations. Call us today! For morning drop-offs (before 9am) -- Boarding or Daycare -- we ask that you not feed your dog, instead bring the food with you -- we will feed after morning exercises.

        My chocolate lab Astro loves going to Bark! Bark! Backyard. He gets very excited and knows when he is going to "school." He has improved in his socialization skills with other dogs and people. They accommodate my schedule and I am able to bring him for half days instead of having to pay for a full day of daycare. Thank you Karen, Rj, and the Bark! Bark! staff for providing a safe and fun place for my baby to go to.

        Karen & RJ are the best! They treat my dog Bento more like family than a client. Thanks to their dedication, he is much more responsive to commands (although he does SO much more for RJ than he does for me!) and his tendency to put on weight is halted by his treadmill workouts with Karen. They have also been extremely accommodating for scheduling. And so reasonable in pricing compared to others on island. I highly recommend Bark! Bark! Backyard!

        Karen and RJ are the real deal. And they offer it all. Boarding, training, daycare, stimulating, socializing, educating...and you can tell they do it with love. And getting a video of how your dog is spending it's day texted to you---that was so awesome! I don't know how they have the time to do it all. A very unique and much needed new venture. Wishing you guys all the best in your growth!

        RJ and Karen work as a synchronized pair of caring, expert dog handlers and trainers. Our pet loves them and his behavior has been gently, yet consistently improved due to his time at Bark Bark Backyard.



        The wonder of this business is that the owners truely love dogs and every time you bring your loved pet to them, they take the time to provide personalized reports on your pet's time with them. Whether socialization, discipline, or exercise is the most important issue of that day, Karen and RJ will identify that and report on their actions with your pet throughout the day.



        If you love your dog as much as we love our dog, then take them to BBBY--and enjoy the videos that are posted every day. That's the next best thing to a "PetCam" you'll find on our lovely Garden Isle.
