Overall
Dementia was said to be "drunk"

I moved my loved one in showing the beginning signs of dementia/memory loss. The assessment done at the application process said some help was needed but was showing signs of memory loss-not dementia. After going for a walk unattended, my loved one was overheated, dehydrated and severely confused. The front desk person called me to tell me that my loved one was DRUNK at 6:45am and that I would need to move them to a different facility. I explained that an assessment was done showing a memory issue and she should be able to distinguish the two after being around similar situations all day. I was highly offended and they called an ambulance before I could get there and he was hospitalized for dehydration and confusion and did have to move out of Atria. I thought they were going to do as promised and look after my loved one, instead it was just heartache. The food quality went from a 4 to a 1 1/2, the food was unappealing, flavorless and the "snacks" that we're supposed to be available at all times got raided by the same 4 women as soon as the snack basket was filled. It was like junior high school but worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone,
