        Welcome to Key West Vets and Pets! Your pet will be lovingly taken care of by Dr. Thomas Householder, who is a very compassionate and caring individual. Dr. Tom has raised 4 wonderful children and is an avid scuba diver, sailor and boater. He is an eagle scout, as are his two sons, and was a boy scout and girl scout leader for 15 years. Dr. Householder had 2 practices in Miami, one was an emergency critical care clinic that he ran, then owned for 30 years, as well as a day time animal clinic which he owned and ran concurrently for 11 of those years. There is no one more qualified than Dr Tom in figuring out difficult issues, your beloved furry family member will be in great hands. Many of our clients have met Kasey, our beloved Australian cattle dog, she is now semi retired, but has saved many lives thanks to her blood donations.

        We had an emergency with our dog Hurks, a 3 legged 84 lb lab mix who was atacked by a pit bull in town.
        They were recommended by my friends at work
        JIATF-South, MCSO, and a friend on KWPD. They are simply the BEST. They rushed my dog into surgery, put things in motion immediately to help him, answered questions and kept me well informed thru the situation.

        The staff is super caring about your pet, its personal for them and way more than a business.

        Dr. Householder has been absolutely amazing. I have a pitbull who has recently had pancreatitis and she has an obstruction and has been throwing up sick for days. Dr. Householder has been amazing he talked me through everything for her and was extremely patient with all my questions, at any time of the day or night. He is having to do emergency surgery on her now and I am confident in my choice to go to him. He is an amazing doctor and a caring animal lover. I Would recommend him to anyone.
