        Ridgecrest Elementary School offers a variety of learning opportunities for students in prekindergarten through grade six. Its special areas of instruction include reading, music, physical education and technology. The school also conducts special education classes for children with disabilities. It publishes a bilingual newsletter that features information on campus activities. The school additionally encourages parental involvement in science fairs, family nights and career programs. Ridgecrest Elementary School is a Title I school with an enrollment of more than 650 students. It is managed by Prince George's County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in Maryland and serves over 130,000 students.
