L. E. Fletcher Technical Community College is a student-oriented facility that provides training and support to students and is located in Houma, La. It is approved by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. Its business and services department curricula are offered in office systems technology and accounting technology. Its general education department offers courses in English, mathematics, natural sciences and history. Its marine program provides instruction in subjects associated with marine safety, including seamanship, emergency procedures, communications, navigation, watch keeping and maritime law. It offers technical programs in automotive, drafting, electrician, electronics, air conditioning, machine tools, marine diesel and welding. Its library provides materials, resources and instructional services for teaching and learning. It provides financial assistance to students from a variety of sources to help meet their educational expenses.
