Homestead Hospital Physical and Speech Therapy Center

While staff was courteous, wait time short, the doctor was over zealous with his tunnel vision diagnosis, which turned out to be wrong. I went in for dread blisters on my foot. The doctor took the dressing off and never looked at it again. It was left bare for over 24 hrs the whole time I was praying don't let me catch MRSA! I was pressured into being admitted with a promise to be released in the morning. They ran many unnecessary tests that had nothing to do with my complaint. Was told ER doctor didn't have the right to promise anything, Intake questioning by nurse was ridiculous, was highly pressured into allowing IV antibiotics which I didn't even need as testing proved, now I have a misdiagnoses on my record ! Talk about angry - to top it off I was given athlete foot cream after I told the doctor my history with the blisters- it wasn't tinea pedis! Oh let's not forget the sadistic nurse who after I asked politely not to touch any skin after touching the foot, stared coldly at me while applying cream on my foot not only bursting the blisters which makes it spread but continued on right up my leg. By the time I got home I was very angry. Till I took the bandage off and saw I had a bloody creamy foot with burst blisters.I was OUTRAGED. I don't care if I'm dying I will never go back to that crazy hospital NEVER AGAIN. I give them a minus 5 stars!

My neighbor was taken there by ambulance 14 hours ago. She is still waiting in the ER. What kind of BS is that?! Not surprising. My other neighbor died after being taken there during a bout with the flu.

I would like to start with the staff. Although extremely overwhelmed they are polite. However.... my husband and I have been sitting in the ER for over 7 hours awaiting lab results. No one has even come check in with us. They simply poked us and sent us to the Lobby. No Bueno. Head up north for ER treatment folks because this is not Emergency service. Posted this in hopes of a turn around. We need it hear in Homestead.

worst service ever, I walked in the hospital with a mouth full of fusing blood at 2:30 AM post tonsillectomy surgery which was done a week prior , between sitting in the result waiting room & doing all sorts of tests I was released at 10 AM with four prescriptions never diagnosed. I never was given a room when I should have been given one due to the situation & how long I was in there with the hospital being so empty. The nurses were horribly rude, unprofessional & very lost at their job. Worst experience of my life !

Horrible service, rude nurses and insane wait time. My wife came in with possible appendicitis and waited for over 5 hours. I prefer to drive past the hospital and go to another one even if my life was in danger.

Fran had a reaction to a new . Took 2 Benedril courtesy of Riley. Was Triaged, Fast Tracked, Saw Dr. then Nurse & started on breathing treatments in less than 45 min.
The attending Nurse told me that the Benedril was the KEY! Thanks 2 RILEY!

It seems that negative comments are the only ones usually showing up on reviews...I want to add some positive comments for the Physical Therapy Center at the Homestead Baptist Hospital. I have found the staff at the center to be very dedicated, competent, skilled, patient, and caring. I have had experience with other therapy sites and I would rate them as excellent. My sincere compliments to the management of the center!

Sucks too slow and co payments are too high

Let may this clear if u complain u will see everybody go in before my daughter got to er no one there before her 2 and half hours later after I started telling other she has ammonia they sent a charge nurse u decide going back and forth w me was the better option . She got a room no one came for even longer and she had been here two days before. Go to baptist Kendall

I really appreciated the treatment my wife got on July 4, 2011 long weekend at this hospital. She was travelling from Atlanta, Goergia visiting Miami, FL. She broke her bones of her right hand wrist at Everglade National Park. She got good help at Park and brought her to this hospital in ambulance. Doctors, medical staff have treated my wife very well. It was long weekend. Orthopedic Surgeon has operated on Sunday. She has been treated on time. I am really thankful to everybody Park Staff, Hospital staff.

This is the worst hospital ever. I have my dad their and his care his been the worst ever. The doctors are f... stupid that don't care about the people. Telling my father that if he isn't bleeding or dieing then he isn't an emergency. But how would they know if the haven't checked him out and seen that he was in pain for a few days with out eating. went in yesterday at 2pm to be seen at 11pm at night after having to complain that he was in lots of pain then to be told be a doctors hours later that he wasn't important not even the nurse came to check on him like they are supposed too. Hell them that he comes out of their fine if not legal action will be in order.
