Log Cabin Tea Company Farmhouse Dining

My sister and I were excited to try this adorable little place. It was well past noon and the restaurant was nearly empty. We asked to have lunch and we're told she'd be with us shortly. We asked a second time. 15 minutes after walking in, we basically seated ourselves while being told she was cleaning tables...she was not. We got the buffet which was very good, especially the meatloaf. It took another 10 minutes after we ate to get dessert. We overheard the waitress say she had worked alone today and had a party of 25. OK, I get that that's a crazy day, but that's no excuse for ignoring new folks when they come in. We'll go back one more time, but not if there's only one person waiting tables.

One of the meals ordered was a dish that was a chicken fillet cooked in a pineapple teriyaki glaze sauce. When the plate came out, it was a naked fillet. This was brought to the waitresses attention, Whitney, who casually smiled and said "I'll be right back with some more tea," then strolled away. Upon her return, she was once again told the dish was made wrong and was asked for it to be corrected. In an extremely snappy tone, she said she was having it taken care of. Her solution to the issue was to bring out raw pineapple that was soaked in teriyaki sauce. We told her this was not the same thing as it being cooked in it. She ignored us and walked away as if we had said nothing. We will not be back. Period. If management will let things like this happen, there's no reason to give them business and I'll be sure to make sure everyone knows just how terrible this business is. All we asked was that it be made properly, not for a comp, not for a refund, just be remade, and that seemed too much hassle.

This is a beautiful place, love the atmosphere. The staff & owners are pleasant and the food was great!

Went here today to try it since it opened around a month ago. There has been mixed reviews from everyone in the community so I figured I'd give it a shot.

The place was nicely decorated with a rustic country feel. They had a bakery in the front with cakes and cheesecakes and to the left of that was a selection of loose leaf teas and then they had where you could sample the teas.
We were seated in the booth and given menus. My husband and my MIL both opted to get the lunch buffet which did not have a price listed on the menu and it said "meat and 3 sides." The waitress said it used to be only one trip for $7.99 and now it's two. The salad bar is not included in that price, its an extra $2.

Both of them disliked the meat loaf, said it was swimming in a pool of grease and felt nauseated.

A friend and I ordered off the menu instead and put our orders in at the same time. About 25-30 minutes passed and mine was the only one that came out. They told him they had to prep the chicken and it was just now going in the oven. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with provolone and garlic aoli. When I opened the sandwich it looked like the bread had just been buttered, no aoli. The sandwich was really tasteless.

Our friend's food finally came out after 45 minutes and everyone had finished eating. It was a flat bread crust and some sprinkled cooked chicken on it. No reason for it to take that long. He said it was standard tasting, nothing special and it took too long.

When it was time to pay, we got our checks and headed to the front counter to pay. The lady at the front was rude and was asking if we were trying to buy cake when we clearly had the checks in our hands and said we couldn't pay there, only the waitress could do it.

All in all this place would better be suited as a bakery and tea shop with kinck knacks to sell than a restaurant. The teas were delicious and the cake looked good, but didn't try it.

Our visit yesterday exceeded our expectations..by a country mile! They have THE best homemade mac &cheese, zucchini casserole, and meatloaf w/roasted potatoes we ever put in our mouths! Meals are served "pass-around" style (fresh idea!) just like we do at home. This will now be our go-to place for good country cooking!
