VIP Formal Wear

By far one of the worst experiences ever... 3 days before my 2 boys prom we had fittings. Both were horribly off sized (one being huge and the other was a child size.) they literally got their tuxes 4 hours prior to the evening. the store manger was beyond rude. Called the home office and never heard back from them. Stay away!!!

Unprofessional all the way around. This was one of the only locations I could leave a comment about this company. I really want to make it clear about the customer service they don't have. I should've know something was up when you go to their website ain't have no prices, who are they fooling. This particular comment is for the Crabtree location in Raleigh, I'm sure their other locations are the same way, and then they are only North Carolina based, which is the only place they deserve to be and its actually an insult to North Carolina. The manager is a straight up sarcastic jerk, who knows nothing about fashion or basic fit of clothing for that matter, with his disproportionate self. It is continually always someone else in the store but him. I had a problem with my tuxedo rental and I tried to place a complaint, and all the workers could say is, he's not here he'll be back tomorrow, I asked what kind of company is this that you don't have a manager here in the store at all time, at the least an assistant manager.Which only set me on 10 for the fact that I had to wait until the next day to speak with the a manager. The complaint that I had to place was that when I picked up my shoes for my tuxedo, I had a pair that was to small. They gave me a replacement pair that was had the wrong size and 2 left feet. Not to mention their was always a new employee in the store, if if were up to me, first person I would fire would be the manager he's a real piece of work, and very self absorbed, just because you attended Virgina Tech doesn't equate to being a Harvard or Princeton graduate get over yourself because you really aren't that great. It's 2 employees that I remember being really good, next thing I know they were gone. For the price and the inconvenience of my shoes for the tuxedo rental I was better off buying me a pair, that's what you get for trying to support small businesses. This is a poor excuse for a company who shouldn't even exist in an industry filled with better professionals. I would suggest going to Men's Wearhouse, they clearly are no competition for them.

I first started dealing with VIP during the last bridal show in Greensboro. Their booth was very nice and the associates seemed to be nice. Since then I have discovered the company has no work ethic or integrity. I was quoted a very good price on a very specific Tux. The price was suppose to be all inclusive which is apparently not the case. When you go into be sized they change their story and start adding on up charges for shoes, shirt and damage insurance. Marsha at the Winston-Salem store dresses unprofessionally and is not helpful, it is as if costumers are an inconvenience. I asked to speak to the owner and she informed me he did not deal with the business and did not directly deal with costumers. Natalie who works at the Greensboro store is who quoted me the price. I contacted her and she completely changed her story and informed me I must have been mistaken. Their prices are the same or higher than their competitors once they add all of their charges. At this point I am willing to pay a higher price to deal with friendlier more professional people. It is a shame the owner is not willing to deal with costumers and take responsibility for the employee's actions. PLEASE,, shop around and be careful when dealing with this company get everything in writing.
