Based in Grapevine, Texas, the Public Works Department provides maintenance, designing and construction services for public utilities and is operated by the city of Grapevine. Its services include maintenance and construction of city streets, drainage systems, traffic signals, buildings, and water distribution, collection and treatment facilities. The department s water and wastewater utilities division provides a wide variety of services, such as treatment and disposal of biosolids to landfill, operation and maintenance of wastewater collection systems, laboratory analysis, and drinking water supply maintenance and billing. Its traffic operations division provides traffic engineering, facility maintenance and transportation planning services. The department s development group reviews plans for the construction of water, wastewater, streets and drainage systems. Its environmental services division offers various services, including recycling, environmental education, pretreatment of water, and storm water and watershed quality management. The department also provides mapping, and street surface repair and maintenance services.
