        Isla Vista School offers academic classes in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school teaches more than 400 students and has a staff of over 25 full-time certified teachers, including reading and language specialists, honors tutors, art instructors and instructional assistants. It has a parent-teacher association and a school site council that supports parents, students and the school. The school organizes various extracurricular activities, including Veterans Day parade, jog-a-thon, picture day, multicultural faire, and costume and mask parade. It provides classes in music, art, drama, karate, and track and field sports. In addition, the school organizes several homework support, academic and enrichment, family literacy, and after- and before-school programs. Isla Vista School is located in Isla Vista, Calif.
