Superb Heating & Cooling

This is a follow up to my previous 5 star review. Superb is supposedly an authorized Armstrong dealer and servicer, yet they kind of fell off of the map. I have another Armstrong technician (from another dealer) here today and he found a number of installation issues, including:

Leaking exhaust pipe that has been dripping on the furnace and causing rust

Improper installation of PVC piping. Shreds of PVC were blocking the drains inside the furnace, and not allowing the drain to flow freely (water backing up into the furnace). This should have been a precaution when the furnace was installed.

Settings on the control board were not set correctly (DIP switches). Air conditioner switch set for 5 tons of cooling when a 3.5 ton A/C was installed for example)

Some issue with the model humidifier installed, yet that's a subjective choice.

Superb supposedly had a regular preventative maintenance program, which was good for maybe a year and that's when I stopped hearing from them.

Choose your installers carefully.

Honest, local Glen Ellyn provider of HVAC services. Had them install a new AC and Furnace. Mike and Shannon provided quality workmanship with a strong attention to detail. The system was just installed and time will tell, however on a preliminary basis these guys rock.
